Mike
Mike rarely admits this, but he's a "swampy". He was born in the Isle of Sheppey, in Kent, England. He is a former shop owner and is now in Pattaya where he is happily retired, but still enjoys his particular pleasures. He has lived and worked in England, Germany, France and the Netherlands before coming to Thailand and speaks 3 languages (English, German and Gibberish).
His best holiday was to Mauritius, because the island is such a cultural melting pot. His silliest idea was walking the Thames footpath. This lead to many a long weekend on the train travelling back and forth and lots of fun times.
He has a love affair with boats. Ranging from a small one which he and his partner used on the River Thames, a larger one which they crossed the channel with, and finally a very large houseboat, which they lived on in Amsterdam. (But this was toooooo cold). He would love to meet you at the bar, where he can normally be found on a corner stool.
